Football Stat Tracker Privacy Policy
Effective date: April 21, 2026
Overview
Football Stat Tracker is a private football stats and season-tracking app. This Privacy Policy explains how the developer of Football Stat Tracker ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use Football Stat Tracker (the "App").
1. Information the App Processes
The App may process information that you choose to enter or import, including:
- player profile information, such as player name, position, shirt number, and shirt color preferences;
- season information, such as season titles, dates, leagues, teams, competitions, fixtures, training sessions, locations, notes, and results;
- match performance information, such as appearances, minutes played, goals, assists, cards, clean sheets, substitutions, player-of-the-match awards, penalties, own goals, and related notes;
- reminder preferences and notification settings used to schedule matchday and training reminders on your device;
- calendar feed URLs and calendar event data if you choose to import or refresh schedule data from an external iCal or ICS feed; and
- backup files or calendar files that you choose to export, import, share, save, or restore.
2. How the App Uses Information
The App uses this information only to provide its core features, including to:
- create and manage your player profile and season history;
- record fixtures, training sessions, results, and player stats;
- generate summaries, dashboards, streaks, and season analytics;
- schedule local reminders on your device;
- import calendar events from files or feed URLs that you provide;
- export backup files and calendar files when you request them; and
- sync your App data across your Apple devices through iCloud/CloudKit when that feature is available and enabled.
3. Where Information Is Stored
Your App data is primarily stored on your device.
In production builds, the App is also configured to support iCloud sync using Apple's CloudKit services. When iCloud sync is enabled on your device, App data may be stored in your private iCloud database associated with your Apple Account so it can sync across your devices.
The App does not use its own dedicated backend account system for routine profile, season, fixture, training, or stats storage.
4. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use the App data for advertising, and we do not include third-party advertising SDKs or third-party analytics SDKs in the current version of the App.
Information may be shared only in the following limited situations:
- Apple services: If iCloud sync is enabled, relevant App data may be stored and processed by Apple through CloudKit and related iCloud services.
- External calendar providers: If you add an external calendar feed URL, the App connects to that URL to retrieve calendar data. The provider hosting that feed may receive technical information normally associated with that request, such as your IP address and request metadata.
- User-directed sharing or export: If you export a backup or calendar file and choose to share or save it using another app or service, the information in that file will be handled by the destination you select.
- Apple Maps: If you tap a saved location and choose to open it in Apple Maps, the location query will be handled by Apple under Apple's own privacy practices.
- Legal compliance: We may disclose information if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request.
5. Permissions and Device Features
Depending on how you use the App, the App may access or use:
- Notifications: to schedule local reminders for fixtures, results, and training sessions.
- Network access: to sync with iCloud/CloudKit and to refresh calendar feeds that you add.
- Files you choose to import or export: to restore backups, import calendars, and create backup or calendar export files.
The current version of the App does not require you to create an account, and it does not use in-app advertising, contact-list access, precise location tracking, microphone access, health data, or social graph data.
6. Data Retention and Your Choices
Your data remains in the App until you change or remove it. Exported files that you create remain wherever you save or share them until you delete them. Deleting the App removes its local installation from your device, but it may not automatically remove data that has already synced to your private iCloud database.
You can also control certain privacy choices directly:
- you can choose whether to enter profile, fixture, training, notes, and stats information;
- you can choose whether to enable notifications;
- you can choose whether to add external calendar feed URLs;
- you can export a full backup of your App data; and
- if you use iCloud sync, you can manage your iCloud settings through Apple.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through a separate account system or marketing profile. If you believe a child has provided personal information in a way that raises a concern, please contact us.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Effective date" above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
